To an extent I agree with the notion that there is an optimal amount of pollution. Pollution in any capacity is not good but, in our world today it is nearly impossible for it to not exist. Even if we were to strive to eliminate pollution in its totality we would not be successful. So the idea that there is an optimal amount of pollution is a reasonable thought, however it is not something to strive for. We must strive to eliminate pollution completely, knowing that we will probably never obtain such a goal. No pollution is good pollution however, some pollution simply must exist for our society to function.
