Charles Collins view on advertising is a free market economy has the capability to fulfill peoples wants by giving information to consumers. All people in the United States have a right to free speech. All people have the ability to think critically with the exception of children and other special exceptions. Therefore, advertising should be allowed if people can think critically about what will happen if he or she pursues to obtain the item. Marketing to children is not fair in a sense when you are a business advertising their product. This is because children do not have the developed cognitive structure necessary to sensor information. Besides, most children like to play with iPads or lap tops in this day in age compared to Legos or something of that sort. I think the iPad or lap top will keep the child entertained sufficiently if not more than Legos.
