We mix feelings about the pursuit of excellence, feelings of the heart and feelings we express in public.  In our hearts we feel the challenge to be and do the best we can.  If we chicken out of doing something we have disgust and sorrow about ourselves.  Peoples failures make them resentful and make us think of reasons why we should be free to do as we please and remain independent of the claims of excellence.  Moral excellence is governed by the will and pertains to honesty, generosity, courage, and diligence.  Any thoughts?

  1. I believe what you say to be true that when people say they are going to do something but then they go back on it they feel like a failure. People have to be willing to do something or they will feel worthless their whole lives.
