Should Corporations Take on Social Responsibility?

The law says that corporations are persons so if they are then they should help better the world then right? As people we are suppose to better the world not destroy it or corrupt it. There are so many corporations in the world that can make a difference if they were not worried about making millions of dollars a day but instead the well being of the world that they do live in too. There are problems within this idea like if corporations do help the world where is the money for this coming from and who's going to direct this movement? Looking at these questions makes people not want to take that chance at bettering the world because they start to think of just them and not what this could do for society. We as people need to think how to make this world a better place for generations to come or there will be nothing in the future. Corporations have the power to help the world and as being an individual under law they need to think morally on how they can better improve it by cutting down on pollution, helping others in need, and giving to charities.

  1. I feel that is the problem with the US and the world today. I feel that the only thing that everyone cares about is about how much money they personally make. I also wonder how the economy would be if the major corporation tried to help better the world and not just worry about how much money they make. Also it would have to be more than a few corporations to change it, it would have to be at least half the corporations.
