Legislating Normative Cores
If you can't legislate normative cores, why should corporations be pressured into being socially responsible? That's like asking someone for the right answer to a trick question. Perhaps, businesses could have regulations that would make them "have" the same values as everyone else, but isn't that what is happening now? More regulations, more government, and we seem to be getting no where. At the beginning of the course I wasn't so sure about just letting a business run free and allowing them to squander and plunder the Earth. But now, after all these different theories and cases, maybe it really would be best for everyone if we just let business be business.
