Adam Smith used the phrase "invisible hand" to describe the self regulating nature of the market place. I believe he is saying the that the"invisible hand" is helping to push the environment and economy in the correct direction. The "right" direction is one that doesnt damage the environment but is there really such a thing? I know our goal is to be more green and we take precautions to help this pursuit but I dont believe we can actually cease all pollution. We can recycle and reuse to help the cause though for a better economy and environment.

  1. Adam Smith's invisible hand is not going to help make the environment completely green, but he thinks the invisible hand will make it as green and clean as it can be. I don't think that there will be a way to fully stop damaging the environment but just lessening the amount of damage is helpful. We need to step in the right direction and lessen the damaging of the environment.
