Looking at the conclusion of Curtis White's The Barbaric Heart, there are many arguments that White makes.  One argument is that the Barbaric Heart is the oldest human story.  This has been here in the beginning and is going to stay here to the end.  He also argues that society can't just point fingers at the oil drillers, multinational corporations, or the bigger corporations.  It is humanity that is keeping the Barbaric Heart going.  Finally he argues that the today's environmental crisis can not be based strictly on economic terms. We have to look at it differently.
