Milton Friedman makes valid points on the issues dealing with the loyalty and honesty of the business, employees, and employers. In his essay titled the Social Responsibility of Business is to Increase its Profit we try to find the answer to this question, “What does it mean to say that ‘business’ has responsibilities?”.                Friedman states that only people can have responsibilities within the business because the corporation is an artificial person that represents the business and in the sense may have artificial responsibilities. I agree with Friedman’s statement in the fact a business does have certain responsibilities as a whole, but not in a literal sense. A business needs the employees to do their responsibilities to make the operation of a company to become successful. Without the employees businesses wont be able to function in a prodcutive manner or at all, thats why its so important that employees have safe work environments and reasonable wages. This makes them want to help the company succeed.
