After reading John Miller's Ethics and Advertising I began to think about the consumers need for prodcuts. Its the main focus of a producer to sell their product to consumers and satisfy the wants of consumers. As consumers we have certain wants and are free to choose products based on our needs. Thus, this makes the consumer "king." The statement is challenged when itbegins to question about advertising because ads create those wants for prodcuts. ADs begin to create and shape desires. Ads tend to stereotype people and are often repeated over and over. Ads are connected to the brand and linked to the desire they have on a person. Essentially we are controlled and manipulated by advertising.
